Tom & Jordan's
Grey Envisage Flush Windows & French Door
Reviving a cottage that’s been in a family’s hands for generations.
It’s never easy when you are tasked with updating an historic building, but with our Envisage windows, we managed it with little difficulty.
Tom is the latest family member to take over ownership of this charming cottage, which his great grandparents, grandad and three younger brothers all used to live in. He wanted to make his own mark on the cottage and contacted us for assistance.

We had a useful visual guide to help us identify a suitable window replacement, in the form of some photographs of the cottage in the 1950’s. Carefully scrutinised, we felt that our Envisage flush casement windows would be an ideal modern equivalent as they shared a similar styling. With the Envisage range, Tom could also have coloured bars integrated into the windows and monkeytail handles, for added authenticity.
Because he often plays host to guests, Tom wondered if it would be possible to extend the kitchen into the garden, which would also exploit the stunning view outside. We did it by adapting the kitchen window and converting it into a set of French doors.

All done and dusted in just four hours…
The house is shared with Tom’s partner, Jordan, and they have two dogs and several chickens to keep them company. If you see the pictures of the cottage in 1930 and compare them to how it looks now, not too much has changed, but it has more of a modern look about it. They hardly hear any noise from the outside and have noticed that the internal temperature seems warmer now. All of those who lived in the cottage before Tom can be proud of what he’s had done.
