Being a composite door, it is manufactured using a host of robust materials, which makes it tougher than most front doors and miles more energy efficient than them. The owners of the house had the option to just go with a plain glass door, but they went for the bevelled look to create a visual interest. Ever since the new door has been installed, they have gone to great lengths to emphasise its presence by adding floor plants close to it and installing a hanging basket. Bevelled glass is good for retaining your privacy as you don’t want your hallway to be too visible from the outside.
