4 Sales Methods You Should Be Wary Of Falling Victim To

We employ a very honest team of salespeople at Speedy Home Improvements who will never resort to any dirty tactics to try and trick you into buying our products.

Modern Glass Roof Conservatory

Most other companies do the same, but the industry still has a few rogue traders, who don’t put their customers’ interests first, only their own.

Please, don’t get caught out by them! We would hate for that to happen.

If you are subjected to any of these sales’ strategies, take your money elsewhere and come to Speedy instead.

Price conditioning

Never bought new windows and doors before? If not, you might have no clue what they should cost.

A salesperson may try to capitalise on that by using the ‘price conditioning’ method, where they give you a quote and tell you that you definitely won’t get a cheaper quote anywhere else, knowing full well that isn’t true.

False discount

To know what you should expect to pay, it’s always best to shop around and get a quote from three or more different companies.

The craftiest salespeople don’t want you to shop around and will try to prevent it by giving you a false discount that has to be accepted there and then. It may sound an enticing discount, but believe us, it won’t be one that gives you the value for money they claim it will.

Big price drop

This is a shock tactic and involves a salesperson massively over quoting the cost of new windows and doors.

They’ll want you to be taken aback by it so that when they then vastly reduce the original quote, you think you’re getting a bargain. In reality, it won’t be a bargain price though.

Overcharging

“What would you like to pay for your new windows and doors?”

This is a question a salesperson may pose to you so that they can obtain a figure and then try and manipulate it to their advantage.

Don’t give them the ammunition!

Straightforward and very honest selling has always been the Speedy way. Make an appointment with a sales consultant and you will discover just how genuine and friendly they are.
